ImageXpert and TTP provide an ink development tool for the FUJIFILM Dimatix Q-Class printhead
The JetXpert Plus (incorporating the TTP Meteor™ Drop Tuner) now supports Q-Class printheads including greyscale capability.
ImageXpert and TTP are pleased to announce the release of a new JetXpert Plus for the Dimatix Q-Class Sapphire printheads. The JetXpert Plus combines the image capture and analysis capabilities of ImageXpert’s best-selling JetXpert system with the new Meteor Drop Tuner print engine for the Q-class printhead. The Meteor Drop Tuner allows full control over multi-pulse waveform definition, ejection frequency, and piezo voltage. The JetXpert Plus provides the ink developer with a tool to optimise ink and printhead waveform combinations.
Marc Torrey, Vice President Marketing, Fujifilm Dimatix, Inc. says:
The Q-Class Sapphire uses advanced carbon-silicon hybrid construction for unparalleled jetting performance. We are pleased that TTP has developed drive electronics for Sapphire. The JetXpert Plus Meteor Drop Tuner should be a useful tool for ink developers to exploit the many unique attributes of this printhead family.
Yair Kipman, President of ImageXpert, says:
We are seeing widespread market interest for ink development tools for the Q-Class printheads, and are proud to collaborate again with TTP to meet this need through the new JetXpert Plus. The JetXpert’s wide functionality including the capture of single drop events with a very short pulse width allows for the accurate measurements needed during ink and system development. Coupling the measurement capabilities of the JetXpert with the Meteor technology’s digital control of all aspects of printhead performance allows the ink developer to fully characterise and optimise performance of the head and ink.
Clive Ayling, Meteor business manager at TTP, says:
Meteor is a product-ready family of components for integration into industrial and commercial printers. By using the Meteor-enabled JetXpert Plus the ink developer or ink specialist at a printer OEM is able to be confident that they can get optimum performance from their ink or printer.
ImageXpert first launched their JetXpert drop analysis system in 2008 and combined with TTP’s Meteor system to produce the JetXpert Plus in 2009. The JetXpert Plus is capable of analysing the jetting performance of ink in inkjet printheads from Dimatix and other leading printhead suppliers.
